Backpacks : Travel BackpacksTravel Backpacks or Travelpacks vary from the original Rucksack design in that they are more so for adventurers, and popular with backpackers. The main difference being that rucksacks remain top-loading where as travelpacks will open 3/4 or fully to allow more accessible packing. Many travel packs have concealed parallel stays designed to offer added support and offer a good fit due to their extensive use of straps, webbing and frame. Additional loops and straps for sleeping bags and other travel items as well as detachable daypacks also add to distinguish the travelpack from the rucksack. NB : Normally the capacity stated of a TravelPack is NOT inclusive of the attached day pack (if offered)
Backpacks on the whole offer more mobility for the traveller with the comfort of carrying your loads safely and securly on your back. The majority of packs have the added benefit of being able to zip shoulder straps, hip belts and shoulder harnesses out of sight to protect them during trasit through airport conveyor belts.
