Maybe it’s a little new to us here in Australia, but to our friends over in the US, the name American Tourister is synonymous with durable, reliable luggage – and it’s been that way for decades now.

Way back in 1933, immigrant Sol Koffler spent his life savings founding American Tourister, with a dream of producing top quality, affordable luggage – in the midst of America’s Great Depression.

Unlike so many companies in the Thirties, Sol’s dream stayed alive, and American Tourister luggage became an American legend.

To keep American Tourister going well into the new millennium, Samsonite – another great American manufacturer of luggage – has taken on the American Tourister name.

But while American Tourister might be an old name, there’s nothing old fashioned about the new American Tourister luggage. American Tourister is extremely light, remarkably tough and supremely smart. Plus, it’s also incredibly good looking!

And, of course, there’s still the same old-fashioned commitment to quality and attention to detail that you’d expect from both the American Tourister and Samsonite brands.
